Matildanjärvi Campfire Site is next to the Nature Centre
The Matildanjärvi campfire site is located next to Teijo Nature Centre on the northern shore of Lake Matildanjärvi. The Nature Centre’s Forest Restaurant café serves all visitors to Teijo, and there is also a parking area by the Nature Centre.
At the Matildanjärvi campfire site you can grill sausages, enjoy your snacks, and watch the buzz of Teijo National Park. There is also a water point where you can fill your drinking bottles for hiking trips. This is one of the most important gateways to the national park.
Metsähallitus maintains the campfire sites in Teijo National Park, and firewood is available at all of them. However, it’s a good idea to bring a knife and fire-lighting equipment with you.
