The Vantaa River is a peaceful rowing environment suitable for everyone.
Melontaranta, located on the Tapaninvainio beach, is an excellent starting point for relaxed summer rowing boat trips. The Vantaa River flows slowly towards Helsinki, so rowing upstream is easy. Weather and wind conditions may vary, but kayaking on the sheltered Vantaa River is pleasant even when the sea might be starting to get rough.

Rowing boat is a great choice if you are coming with familt or friends. It holds space for 1-4 people and all needed equipment. Rowing boats excel at small lakes and rivers where the boat is safe from high winds.

Melontaranta is located at Uimarannantie 32, 00780 Helsinki. You can get there by bus, which stops a few hundred meters away, and you can park your car nearby if necessary.

As a Natura Viva season ticket holder, you can use the Melontaranta equipment independently, as much as you want! However, you can try it first - we will refund the renter €32 from the Season Pass for Nature.
